A royal review of Beau Constantia

Last weekend I was cordially invited to a royal feast at Beau Constantia.

Some of the other attendees were Kayli Vee Levitan and Marvin – Queen and King of Foodblog, Leigh van den Berg, Queen of Lipgloss is My Life, Her Ladyship Karisa Nicholls ruler of My Love Affair with Cape Town, King Leeyon, John Meinking whose surname says it all, Diva and dame, Allison Foat, the travelling Princess, Fazielah Williams, and Princess Jessica Gouws who doesn’t need a kingdom because she’s a badass.

Our gracious host and royal chef was Tjaart Walraven, who made sure that his guests were dined and wined.

And boy, were we wined.

While we were enjoying the spectacular view of the kingdom of Constantia, chef Tjaart announced that we will be enjoying canapés from three different kingdoms: Mexico, Asia and South Africa.

Our glasses were filled with 5 delicious wines to accompany each of the delicious canapés.

The wine flowed while we discussed important matters, such as the difficulty of companionship and betrothals in Cape Town.

The food was impeccable, and I loved the canapés from Mexico. My first act as queen will be to announce, “Let them eat nachos!”

I also loved the South African menu – popcorn and boerewors? Yes, please!

For only R135 you can also enter the kingdom of Beau Constantia and enjoy these delcious canapés and wines. View the menu here.
