Goldwell Anti-Brass Range Review

I’m not usually big on surprises. I like knowing what’s up and being able to plan for it. So you’d think that I’d dislike the Secret Box, a box that contains a secret selection of premium products at a discount rate. But you see, as much as I dislike surprises, I love bargains more. So the Secret Box, which is distributed by Retail Box, is actually right up my alley.

This month’s Secret Box contained a full-sized Goldwell Dual Sense Anti-Brass shampoo and conditioner, and a box of Invisibobbles. All three of these products excited me greatly, because:

  1. All my hair elastics had once again fallen into an abyss, along with my bobbypins.
  2. I’d had my hair highlighted 4 weeks ago, and it was getting a bit yellow.
  3. I get super excited about washing my hair with new shampoo.

When you’re not a natural blonde, it is quite a struggle to keep your highlights from going brassy or yellow. That is why purple shampoo is such a lifesaver – it reduces the brassiness of your hair and helps you to get through that last stretch until your next appointment.

I’d used purple shampoo before, but I’d never heard of purple conditioner. The conditioner is really great, as one of the downsides to using purple shampoo is that it makes your hair a bit coarse. The conditioner is wonderful for offsetting it, while still helping with reducing the brassiness.

The Goldwell Dual Sense Anti-Brassness Shampoo (R195) and condioner (R195) are available on Retailbox. If you hurry up you can still purchase the Secret Box for R200!
