When I was younger we rented an old beach house. During the night all of us heard noises and felt a presence in the house. My parents aren’t superstitious people, but to this day they maintain that there was something *off* about that place. twitter.com/rabiasquared/s…

The Baths in Citrusdal: A Review

The Cederberg is filled with magnificent getaway spots for every kind of traveller. I have done camping at Beaverlac, glamping at Wolfkop and most recently; a luxurious 2-night stay at The Baths. Best weekend. A post shared by Anja Wintour (@anjawintour) on Jan 29, 2017 at 8:56am PST If you’re looking for an easy, peaceful and affordable getaway from the city - Wolfkop is the spot for you. All the tents come pre-packed with everything you need (including some crickets and spiders), all you need to bring is food and clothes. By day you can rent canoes and swim in the river and at night you can rest in absolute bliss, there is no music allowed here and by 22:00 everyone is...

How To Go To New York

I have been putting this article off for weeks. Partially because I haven’t had the time, but mainly because I didn’t want to look at my New York photos again. I enjoyed my trip so much that my photos make me sad. Yes, I know. That makes no sense. I decided to title this blog “How To Go To New York” because a lot of you asked me about my flights and accommodation. I also wanted to prove that New York is not as unattainable for South Africans as we may think. If New York is on your bucket list, I really hope this article will help you to get there in 2018! How to get your visa Everyone told me scary stories...

Places To Go When Visiting Mauritius

Last month I wrote about places to stay when visiting Mauritius. Now I'd like to introduce you to some of the attractions in Mauritius. When you think about Mauritius, palm trees and holiday resorts come to mind. But there's so much more to the island! I was fortunate enough to be shown what goes on outside the gates of the resorts, and I was enamoured by the spirit of this beautiful island. Chameral Waterfall Stop by the Chameral Waterfall on your way to the Seven Coloured Earth and The Curious Corner. It's quick, but so worth it - the view is spectacular. With Phila Tyekana from True Love Magazine and Allison Foat from Cape Town Diva. The Curious Corner of Chamarel The Curious...

De Hoop Getaway

Last year I went to De Hoop Nature Reserve for their annual Wine, Wales and Music Festival. I was only there for a few hours, but it was enough for me to vow to go back as soon as possible. Exactly one year later I got the opportunity to visit De Hoop again for my blog, and it happened on a weekend with two memorable dates: Heritage Day, and our one year anniversary! So exciting! J-P and I are celebrating our one year anniversary at @dehoopreserve this weekend. Here's to spending many more years together and watching that patch of grey beard grow. #NoAnjaWhyDidYouTalkAboutMyGreyHair A photo posted by Anja Wintour (@anjawintour) on Sep 24, 2016 at 5:31am PDT...

Where To Stay When Visiting Mauritius

I was recently invited by World Leisure Holidays to visit Mauritius, and I got to see some of the most magnificent hotels on the island. I also saw some of the attractions, so I decided to do two articles about my trip to make sure you get the most out of your stay. Stay tuned for my article about some of the fun activities to do during your trip! During my visit to Mauritius I saw 4 resorts, all of which were absolutely breathtaking. But two of them stole my heart, and here’s why. La Pirogue Resort & Spa I felt at home at La Pirogue from the moment I lay eyes on the ‘hippy chic’ design. Maybe it’s because it somehow reminded...
