It’s been four years since Adele released Someone Like You. In those four years that poor song has been butchered by Idols contestants across the globe, and overplayed in every Ackermans in the country.
So when I found out that Adele had released a new song, I used my last bit of data to watch the music video.
IT WAS SO WORTH IT.
The song is obviously beautiful. Listen to it here.
The song’s meaning seems to be open to interpretation, but I’m not here to discuss that. I’m here to talk about the music video. I had many thoughts while watching it, so many in fact, that I decided to pen them for you.
Here you go.
Ag nee fok, is that the Kelvin filter?!
Can we just make flip phones a thing again now? Seriously. Nothing will ever beat hanging up an annoying call with a sassy flip of your hand.
Wait, is this the same house Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger recorded in? That’s 900 times worse than dealing with ghosts.
ADELE, YOUR CAT EYES ARE LIKE HORCRUXES. THEY ARE GIVING ME LIFE.
Are you Pegasus? Because your wings are DIVINE.
Huh? What? No, I’m not building a shrine for Adele’s cateyes. These tools are for something else…
Wait, did she just pour the water first and then put the tea bag in? So Tom Delonge was right, aliens do exist.
Which one of my designer friends can I ask to Photoshop Adele’s hair on my head? Hmm…
Accio, fur coat!
An accurate representation of me walking in the CBD when the South Easter is blowing.
Yassssss, praise that flip phone thug life!
Thank you for the most beautiful music video and song of 2015, Adele.
