Last weekend I asked photographer, Andy Pearce, to meet me at Beijing Opera for a photoshoot. I felt really hip about my location choice until I arrived there and realised that what I thought was Beijing Opera, was in fact a place called San Julian.
I’m just going to be honest here: I am not familiar with either of these places, because I am eternally uncool.
Anyway, it turned out to be an awesome location and the perfect place to achieve my favourite aesthetic of all time, the I-look-like-I’m-in-America-but-I’m-actually-not. Gotta fake it, ’til you make it – right?
When I first started doing fashion posts back in the day, I would’ve NEVER felt comfortable enough to shoot with a guy. But after shooting with Vaughn Wright, my boyfriend and now Andy – I not only don’t give AF anymore.
Andy made me feel very comfortable and as you can see; it shows. I really enjoyed working with him, and hopefully there will be more collaborations in the future.
If you’d like to get in touch with him to shoot a fashion post, shoot your next LinkedIn profile pic or just a photo of you and your dog – hit him up here: firstname.lastname@example.org. Or follow him on Instagram or Twitter.
