On Saturday night I attended my first ever Cape Town Carnival, and it was AMAZING.
I was invited by Catrice and Essence cosmetics to attend their VIP party, which happened in front of the Traffic Department in Green Point.
Our view was absolutely spectacular, and the vibe of the evening was one that I would never forget.
It was truly like being a kid again! All the lights and costumes were so bright and amazing - it was reminiscent of childhood Christmases and birthdays.
I spent the whole night hanging out with two of my fave bloggers, Laura Jane and Siyaam Ally. We all got to meet Cindy Nell, the importer of Catrice, and my favourite former Miss South Africa
She is just as beautiful...
It's been a rollercoaster of colourful hair for me, thanks to AnonaMiss. I've had so much fun dyeing my hair every colour of the rainbow!
But winter is coming, so I'm going to halt the peroxide (highlights) and bright colours until spring.
This is my hair rainbow.
Everytime I have my hair highlighted I look like a princess from a Disney movie, but then when it starts to grow out I look like The Grudge.
Seriously though, guys. I hate regrowth and it's one of the downsides to having blonde highlights. After two months I always see dark clouds raining on my sunshine day. And by dark clouds I mean evil regrowth.
But then I found out about John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Colour Renew tone-corrector.
I'm convinced that there's some sort of magic potion inside this shampoo, not only because of its dreamy shade of purple, but because of its quick results.
I washed my hair with this shampoo twice last week, as I was desperate to remove the brassiness of...
Last year I dip-dyed my hair for the first time, and I've been obsessed with it ever since. Initially I was terrified of it, because I was so scared that I'd hate it, or that I wouldn't be able to get it out of my hair.
Luckily for me, Manic Panic hairdye, which is sold by the awesome ladies at AnonaMiss Beauty Emporium, is FREAKING AMAZING.
No guys, you have no idea how amazing this product is.
Seriously. Let me tell you why it is awesome:
- It isn't harmful to your hair, as it's vegan. My hairdresser told me that any hairdye that doesn't cover grey hair isn't harmful to your hair - so you won't go bald when you YOLO with all...
A while ago Bobbi Brown ran a super cool competition where you could win a Bobbi Brown Shimmer finish lipstick if you went into store, tested a lipstick and kissed a card.
I went to the Bobbi Brown in Edgars at Tyger Valley to kiss a card - it was so much fun! The shop assistants were very nice and eager to help me.
One of their assistants, Lisia, even gave me a super quick makeup trial where I immediately fell in love with their BB Cream and eye cream.
I'll review the eye cream at a later stage when my purse allows, but I simply had to review the Bobbi Brown Shimmer lipstick and BB Cream.
Okay, so I used to hate...
